Daughter of Benjamin F Stillwell & Amanda Jane Fulton.
She married #1=Manly W Thompson on December 31st, 1884, Franklin Co., OH. The couple had one daughter in Ohio (Amanda Marie who went by Marie) in 1888.
Their family moved to St Charles, IL sometime between 1888-1892 (possibly after the death of her father in 1891). Alma’s sister Celestia & their mother Amanda moved west also, though Amanda died just a few years later. Manly & Alma’s second daughter, Jessie, born in St Charles in 1892, died at two months.
After Manly’s death in 1899 Alma moved with her daughter Marie to Elgin, IL. Sister Celestia was also living in Elgin at that time, working as an attendant at the Illinois Northern Hospital for the Insane. Alma married briefly for a second time to #2 Elwood Pusey Corbit (widowed from his first wife Martha), on June 15th, 1905, Kane Co., IL but the couple divorced & both remarried (Elwood to Fannie Mann). The 1910 Elgin census shows Alma (listed as “widowed’j having reverted back to Thompson
Alma’s sister Celestia had returned to Ohio in the early 1900’s where she was first married to Henry Clark. Alma also returned to Ohio where she married for a third time to #3 Edward Elliott on September 5th, 1912 in Ross Co., OH. The marriage ended four years later with the death of Edward (5 April 1846- 5 Jan 1917 Chillicothe, Ross Co., OH, not on FAG). Alma, widowed once again, returned to Elgin, IL where she spent her final years.
