NORMA (LAURENZI) VISCOMI
Norma "Solemio" (Laurenzi) Viscomi, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, went to heaven with a smile on her face on Wednesday, December 13th at Niagara Hospice House.
She's now with her beloved Laurenzi family that she adored & talked about every day.
Norma was born in Old Forge, PA. She was the loving daughter of the late Philip and Anna (Innamorati) Laurenzi.
Norma moved with her family to Niagara Falls as a teenager. She married her husband, Thomas "Kissy" Viscomi who passed away in 1986 after 45 memorable years together.
Norma loved managing the White Star Dry Cleaners for over thirty years. Everyone that met her...loved & remembered her even decades later. She really enjoyed being chief of housekeeping at Niagara Geriatrics Nursing Facility until her retirement.
She was the life of the party still cracking jokes & making people smile at 95. Her sweet caregivers at home & at Hospice loved her. We will forever be grateful for their tenderness with her, especially in her final moments.
Norma is survived by her son, Philip Viscomi; four grandchildren from Sarah "Sally" Viscomi; Bernie (Janna), Lisa, Maria "Gina," and Anna; great-grandchildren, Nikkole (Dylan), Andrew, Christopher, Tony, Bronte and Bronwyn; and one great-great grandson Elijah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews she loved very much.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Paul (Lena), Peter (Mary), Armand (Josephine), Angelo (Frances) and Vera (Louis).
Her granddaughter Anna was honored to be her "plus-one" for the last 20 years & share the last 6 years with Norma in her home as her guardian, "buddy" & caregiver.
Nonna...we love you and miss you. You will forever be with us in our hearts.
A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 18th at 12 Noon in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara Hospice House.
