Mrs. Sarah H. Mansfield died at the home of her son Dr. B. R. Mansfield, at Galion Ohio, Saturday afternoon at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 25 days. Mrs. Mansfield was born in Vermont. After her marriage she came to Kansas and thirty years ago the family lived on what is now the Mrs. M.C. Adams farm northwest of Effingham, later moving to Effingham and residing in the house now occupied by Bert Brim. After the death of her husband she continued to live in Kansas City, going to Galion about seven years ago. The remains were brought to Effingham Monday night and Tuesday morning place beside the husband and daughter Adeline, who preceded her in death. She was the mother of three children, two of whom are still living. These are Dr. Mansfield who accompanied the remains to Effingham, and C. H. Mansfield of Kansas City. Dr. Mansfield was a guest at the J.C. Valentine home while in Effingham.
