Sarah was the daughter of Jacob and Rachel (Cook) Jessup. Sarah married Levi Beauchamp in 1815, Wayne County Indiana. They had nine children; Rachel (1816-1878), Eli (1817-1904), Susannah (1819-1872), Ann (1822-d.aft.1885), Cynthia (1825-1858), Enoch (1827-1894), Noah (1829-abt.1864), John (1832-1863) and David (1834-1900). Sarah passed away two years after her youngest son was born. Afterwards her husband Levi moved his family to the western part of Indiana (Bridgeton, Parke County Indiana). Their eldest daughter, Rachel married Christopher Bennett and remained in Henry County Indiana.
