Mrs. Woodard went to be with the Lord on Christmas Eve in Marshall, TX. She was born on April 21, 1935 to Lucy and Walter Broker.
Jeannette married Edwin Herbert Woodard May 28, 1955 in Diboll, TX. She was a 1956 graduate of Steven F. Austin and worked for years teaching in Marshall and retired from the Texas Workforce Commission. She enjoyed volunteering for the Marshall Regional Pink Ladies Auxiliary. Jeannette also loved music and singing, crocheting, reading and especially her little dog “Chulee.”
Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years and the love of her life, Ed; her parents, sister, Dixie Weatherby; two brothers, Milton and Walter Broker, Jr. She is survived by her two children, Andy Woodard and wife Jana of Marshall, TX, and Karyn Tipton and husband Corwyn of Apple Springs, TX; two grandchildren, James and Amanda Tipton; great granddaughter, Brooklynn Fielder; numerous nieces and nephews , and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Bill Brannon, Stan Brannon, Casey Brannon, Jimmy Tipton, Jordan Muchmore and Paul Woodard.
Her family would like to thank all the employees of Oakwood House and Hospice Plus for their loving care.
