Alexandra "Sandy" Ghione went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day. Sandy was born in Wilmington, DE on June 27, 1945 and was a graduate of Conrad High School. Sandy was a longtime member of the American Legion and the VFW. She especially enjoyed visiting VFW Post 2863. She loved doing word searches, drinking Budweiser, playing shuffleboard, and spending time with her family. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Louis, in 1979; her parents, Clifford and Hedwig Maxwell; her brother, James; and her daughter, Lisa. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Frey (Paul) of Wilmington; son, Frank Ghione (Katie) of Elsmere; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and four granddogs
