Educated in Richland County public schools, she was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in the Class of 1942. She was later employed as a LPN (Licensed Nurse Practitioner) at the Old Columbia Hospital and retired from Moncrief Army Community Hospital at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Mrs. Cleveland was a faithful member of Sidney Park CME Church where she was a member of the Missionary Society and served her church where her gifts and talents were needed. Her community involvements included active membership in the Burton Heights-Standish Acres Neighborhood Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed dining at her favorite restaurants, Lizard’s Thicket and Red Lobster.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Robert Cleveland, Sr., she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Cleveland, Jr.; a sister, Carrie Milledge Patterson; and a brother, Frederick Milledge, Sr., both of Columbia.
Mrs. Cleveland leaves to cherish precious memories a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
