The family applied for a passport and left the USA in 1897. May 15, 1938 Ada and her Mother returned to the USA on the SS Manhattan from the port at Hamberg, Germany. HENRY BAUMGARTEN DIED 28 OCT 1940 in Frankfurt V, Hessen, Deutschland. Bertha, Ada and George were all living together on the 1940 census. Bertha reported to being a widow. All family members reported to living in Frankfort, Germany on or prior to April 15, 1935. We cannot know what or when Ada became an inmate of Willard State Hospital. We know that she died at Willard in 1977.
