In her writings, sister Anna Lorene LaPlante Minieri, wrote:
--Wilford Grant LaPlante was the son of Lovelace G. LaPlante, Sr. and second wife, Curia Myra Katherine Hughes. Grant, as he was known, served in the U.S. Navy, met Viola in N.Y. and traveled to Missouri to be married at his mother's home with his birth family present. Wilford and Viola had four children, a boy, twin girls and another boy. Grant worked for Conn-Edison Electric in New York. Grant and Viola retired to Chiefland, Florida. Grant died in Chiefland in November of 2004.--
