Per Missouri death certificate 8825, reg. # 2501:

Albert Millard was born in Clinton Iowa 1 April 1859 to "Robt" Millard of New York City and "Kath Folleth" (handwriting hard to decipher.)

He worked as a bartender.

Albert Millard died 21 February 1929 in St. Louis Missouri.

He was taken to the Missouri crematory on 25 February 1929.

Informant on the death certificate was Carrie Millard, his widow.

__

Albert Millard first married Lydia Georgens 29 March 1883 in Adams county Illinois.

[Illinois Marriage Index, 1860 - 1920.]

There were two children: Ella Frank Millard (who married William Frank, coincidentally, in July 1902) and Robert A. Millard.

Albert and Lydia Millard later divorced.

27 May 1902 Carrie B. French, 30, wed Albert B. Millard, 42, in Clayton, St. Louis, Missouri.

At the time of the marriage the groom lived in Olney Illinois and the bride lived in San Antonio Texas.

[Missouri Marriage Records, 1805 - 2002.]

______

The 1880 census shows Robert and Kate Millard living at 1013 Chestnut street in St. Louis Missouri with sons Albert B. age 21, and Frank 19.

The 1900 census finds Lydia Millard, "widowed" (actually "deserted" per 1896 divorce suit) residing at 909 1/2 State street in Quincy Illinois, with children Ella Frank Millard, and Robert A. Millard. Lydia was working as a laundress. Ella married William L. Frank in July of 1902, making her full name Ella Frank (Millard) Frank. Ella and her brother Robert Millard both died in 1903. Thus, both of Albert and Lydia Millard's two children predeceased them, within months of each other.

The 1910 census shows Albert and Carrie Millard residing at 520 1/2 West Vandeveter Avenue in St. Louis Missouri. Albert's job is listed as bartender. There are several lodgers sharing their household.

The 1920 census shows Albert and Carrie Millard at 412 North Sarah street in St. Louis Missouri. Again several (new) lodgers share their household.

The 1930 census shows a widowed "Caroline" Millard, apparently running the same rooming house at 412 North Sarah in St. Louis.
