The funeral for Esther Ackerman, 76, of Linton, ND will be held Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church, Linton with the Reverend Fred Henkelmann officiating. Burial will be in the Linton Cemetery. Visitation at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND.
Esther was born near Temvik, ND, on April 23, 1930, the daughter of John and Pauline (Kundert) Haid. She attended country school and also school in Linton. Esther worked at JC Penney.
Esther married John Ackerman at Peace Lutheran Church on June 1, 1948. Following their marriage they lived in Linton. In Linton Esther worked for Super Value. She was also a cook for the Head Start and a custodian at the Linton Public School and Peace Lutheran Church. Esther also painted and cleaned for various people. Esther and John also lived in Michigan and South Dakota. She was a member of Bismarck VFW Auxiliary and the Peace Lutheran Church Circle. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John of Linton; one son and daughter-in-law: two daughters and two sons-in-law: one sister, Violet Ohlhauser of Linton, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.
