Gerald is buried in an unmarked grave next to his Grandfather Peter Doty according to his older sister. She was 7 years old when he was born and this was closest cemetery to their home. When asked at age 93 where Gerald was buried, she immediately said "With Grandpa Doty at Bacon Cemetery" but she could not remember which side of Peter he was buried on. The family intends to use ground penetrating radar to find his grave and mark it in the near future.
