Mrs. Arthur GRAY, a long time resident of the Gray community died at her home in Beaver county Saturday morning following a long illness. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. GRAY had lived with her family in Beaver county since 1905, the GRAY family having been among the earlier homesteaders in the strip.

Rev. A. B. COCKRELL, minister of the First Methodist church; W. C. BRYAN of Perryton and M. B. SCHMIDT of Balko conducted the final rites Monday afternoon in the First Methodist church of Perryton.

Pallbearers were Cody HARRIS, George WILSON, Lee CRAWFORD, Charles PRICE, Daniel NEWMAN, and Bruce JOHNSON.

Mrs. GRAY is survived by her husband, Arthur GRAY, of Gray; seven step-daughters and one step-son, William GRAY of Perryton. The step-daughters are Mrs. L. H. BONES of Portland, Ore., Mrs Louis COUNTRYMAN of Oklahoma City, Miss Velmer GRAY of Perryton, Mrs. Zora FRANKS of Amarillo, Arlie GRAY of Amarillo, Mrs. Carl SIMPSON of Amarillo and Mrs. A. C. ROGERS of Sacramento, Calif.

There are also 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie HIGHTOWER of Turpin, Okla.

Interment was in the Blue Mound Cemetery.

Emma Brimmage GRAY was born in Yell county, Ark., on Aug. 28, 1880. She died June 9, 1956, the 30th anniversary of her marriage to W. Arthur GRAY of Gray, Okla. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. GRAY came to Beaver county with her father in 1905 where she lived until his death in 1919. She then moved to Cement, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. GRAY were married at Anadarko, Okla., on June 9, 1926 and made their home in the Gray community since that date.

It is often said that there is no greater test of a person's true life than his or her ability to inherit a family and properly meet the situation. The high esteem of her children and the great respect for her in the community are testimony of the great spirit of Mrs. GRAY.

She was a faithful member of the Methodist church from her childhood, although she was prevented by ill health from regular attendance in the past several years.
