Lila Jane (Brandt) Bristol, age 81, passed away on January 7, 2018 in Vernal, Utah. Lila was born March 30, 1936 in Tridell, Utah to Dorothy Hall and James Brandt. Lila married Alonzo Larry Bristol on February 18, 1954 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 28, 1985.
Lila was a cook at Jim’s Cafe, The Sage, and at the Ashley Regional Medical Center. Her cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies were the best. She liked to embroider, paint dish towels and pillow cases, and quilt blocks.
Lila is survived by her children: Janet (Eddie) Madsen, Kathy Harvey, Steven (Mona) Bristol and Norman Bristol; 26 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
Lila is preceded in death by her Parents, husband Larry Bristol, daughter Christine Edmonds, granddaughter Edalee Madsen, great grandson Braxton Redmond, great granddaughter Natalie Madsen, 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and son-in-law Randy Harvey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11AM at the Ashley 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (3040 North Vernal Avenue). A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Friday 9:45-10:45AM at the chapel. Interment will be in the Bluebell Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
