She and I were very close. She died suddenly of a pulmonary embolism and I was very sad that I was not with her in her final moments. After she passed away, I was without my nuclear family, since our parents had died in the 1990's.
Linda married Darold Allen "Art" Young , who was born on
May 1, 1942. Art worked as a xarpenter and created some beautiful wooden furniture for Linda. On April 6, 1970, Linda and Art were married in Clark County, Washington.
They had 7 years together, before Art died on July 16, 1980. They did not have any children together.
Linda was a great Aunt to my two children, her neice and nephew. She enjoyed making things for them. She loved sewing outfits for my daughter, Autumn, when she was very
little. Linda and I loved to go to movies, eat out, and go for long rides together. We enjoyed visiting gardens together.
Linda had worked for the county and state
government, working with the parol and probation departments, as supportive office manager staff.
Within the year before she died, Linda had retired.
She had continued to work occasionally to fill in during her coworkers' vacations, sick days, etc. Linda died before she was able to be completely retired. This as so unfair to me because she had worked for so many years.
Linda loved the ocean, and we honored her life by spreading her ashes in the Pacific Ocean, at the Oregon coast. She is still so missed by me. She was always my big sister who watched out for me.
We love you!
Your sister, June
