Mrs. Vallie Lee Reeves, a lifelong resident of Baker, Fla. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. She was a member of the Baker Methodist Church in Baker and also a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Rudolph Reeves of Baker.
Survivors include: four sons, Fredy and Ann Reeves of Ward, Ala., Johnnie and Mary Reeves of Trussville, Ala., Wayne and Gloria Reeves of Crestview, Fla., and Cameron Reeves of Douglasville, Ga; one daughter, Martha and Larry Sowell of Crestview, 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 1999 at the Whitehurst Funeral Home chapel at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Donnie Cadenhead officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Baker, Fla., with Whitehurst Funeral Home directing.
Visitation for Mrs. Reeves will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
