Timothy E. Acord, 47, of Oceana, WV passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1970 in Welch, WV a son of the late James Dee Acord (1918-1986) and Leah "Lurlene" Adkins-Acord (1928-1996). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by seven brothers, Aldie Charles Acord (Deceased), James "Jimmy" Dale Acord (1960-1960), Dallas Steve Acord (Deceased), Stanley "Spunk" Dee Acord (1956-2012), James "Danny" Acord (1947-2013), David "Bud" Acord (1948-2017) and Norman Cline (Deceased).
Survivors include three sisters, Joan Acord of TN, Reva Acord-Walls of Beckley and Janet Acord-Calloway & husband Doug Calloway of Glen Daniels; seven brothers, Keith Acord & wife Donna Acord of Crouches Farm, Kenny Acord of Beckley, Mike Acord of Oceana, Ricky Acord & Norma Acord of SC, Mark Acord & wife Claudia Acord of Brandywine, Larry Presley & wife Tonya Presley of Mullens and Chris Acord & wife Lora Acord of Oceana; his companion Kimberly Green of Oceana; special friends Billy and Christy Fox of Oceana; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday January 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jeffrey Elkins officiating. Friends may gather with the family from Noon until time of services on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the services.
