Mrs. Prough was born November 6, 1911, in Camden Point, MO. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital for 24 years before retiring in 1981. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, North Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Prough, in 1986. Survivors include three brothers, Jasper McClain and A. J. McClain, both of Kansas City, MO, and Earl McClain of Topeka, KS; and nieces and nephews." The Kansas City Star, June 25, 1995
