Scott, 74, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, in Artesia.
Taylor Robles will officiate the services, with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery in Roswell. Pallbearers will be Bill Ross, Punk Mason, Darrell Brown, Dennis Maupin, Gary Conklin and Bob Mayberry.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. today at Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Linda was born May 4, 1943, in Greenfield, N.M., the daughter of James B. and Mamie T. Bland. She attended school in Roswell and Artesia, and business college in Wichita, Kans.
On June 16, 1978, she married Jimmy Scott in Roswell.
Linda was a secretary in the insurance business. She was a member of Hermosa Church of Christ. She loved to cook and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy M. Scott, of the family home; son Richard Reynolds III and wife Judy of Mesa, Ariz.; daughters Janie B. Reynolds Schneider of Roswell, Rebecca Scott-Deeds and husband Todd of Albuquerque, and Natalie Roberds and husband Ray of Mayflower, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling, Marcia Spain.
A heartfelt thank-you for the special care and love shown to Linda and her family by the nurses and staff of San Pedro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Encompass Hospice during Linda’s last days.
