On the 27th day of April 1869, Mrs. Mary Soverns was married to Mr. Henry Noyes, the ceremony being performed at St. Louis. Soon after their marriage they moved to this county and have lived here for the past thirty-six years. Eighteen years ago the family moved to this city where they have since resided.
Fourteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs, Noyes, eight of whom with their widowed mother, survive the deceased. They are Charlie of Irving; Fred of Vandalia; Frank and Louis of this city; Mrs. Ada M. Jayne of Nokomis; Mrs. Anna E. Clarke of Chicago; Mrs. Mary E. Bolen of Neoga; Mrs. Elizabeth Deppe of New Baden, Ill.
