Catherine M. “Katie” Jasinski, 85, of Hosler Road, Berwick, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at home, surrounded by her family.

Born May 7, 1932, in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (Nodich) Ezzyk.

Mrs. Jasinski was a graduate of Centre School and was employed at Berwick Industries.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Berwick.

She was a champion bowler and played softball in her younger years.

She lived her life for her children and her family.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Millard E. Jasinski, who died April 23, 2012; a son: Millard Ray Jasinski; four sisters: Ann Rich, Sophie Makar, Mary A. Zensel and Helen Dyer; and six brothers: Alex, John, Albert, William, Michael and Joseph.

Surviving are her one daughter, Diane, wife of Douglas Talanca, of Berwick; three sons: Edward Jasinski and his wife, Vivian, of Lewiston, Idaho, Timothy P. Jasinski and Thomas S. Jasinski and his wife, Lynn, both of Berwick; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Starr, and her husband, Ray, of Berwick; and one brother, George Ezzyk, of Spring Hill, Fla.

A visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick. A Divine Liturgy will follow at 11:30 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 706 N. Warren St., Berwick, with the Rev. Roman Petryshak, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Berwick.
