Friday night death claimed Mr. Alonzo Covert after a lingering illness of tuberculosis. He was 53 years of age and lived near Shakertown and was a reliable, well liked man, whose death is all the sadder that he leaves a wife and eight children. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. W. D. Moore Saturday, and the interment was at Shawnee Run cemetery.
