Charles "Charlie" Bane was born on October 16, 1936, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, the son of Dolphus Ray and Lula Lena (Gilbert) Bane. He departed this life on February 14, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years.
Charlie was a resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, since 2002. He married Darlene Mosley on June 9, 1956, in Davenport, Oklahoma. Charlie was a member of the Church of Christ in Muskogee. He owned and operated Bane Body Shop and Wrecker Service in Chandler for many years. Charlie loved fishing, hunting, and working in his garden.
His parents, three brothers, Darrell, Ray, and J.W., and two sisters, Juanita and Alice preceded Charlie in death.
Survivors include, his wife Darlene of the home, one son, Richard "Ritchie" Bane and wife Lesa of Perkins, Oklahoma; one daughter, Raylene Nichols of Tulsa, and son-in-law Berry Nichols; two brothers, Doyle Bane and wife Edna of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Jimmy Bane and wife Sharon of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters, Donna Darling of Oregon, Ruby Creelman of California; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 19, 2018, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vance Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Cemetery in Seminole.
