Samuel's pension record indicates he applied for an invalid pension in 1889.Wheeling register reports that Samuel Craig's funeral took place March 20 from residence of Andrew Kurtz, burial Riverview Cemetery.


Andrew Kurtz is Andrew 'Andy' Jackson Kurtz, who married Lillian 'Lillie' Craig, daughter of Samuel's brother William Craig who died in 1860.

Andrew and Lillie Craig Kurtz are also buried Riverview Cemetery.
