Mattie B. Murray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord February 15, 2011 at the age of 88. She was born in Clarksville, TN to Allen and Maggie Atkins who preceded her in death. She resided in San Antonio since the early 1940's and was an avid Spurs fan. She was also preceded in death by her husband John G. Murray; son, David Earl Murray, 4 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Darrel) Webber; son, Charles Allen Murray; sister, Aileen Ross; brother, Kelly Atkins; grandchildren, Traci, Heather, Randy, Craig, Kristen; 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. SERVICES Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory. The family would like to thank the staff at Christus VNA Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
