Maggie Mildred Wilson Atkins
Jan 2, 1887 - Feb 15, 1974

Mrs. Maggie Mildred Atkins, 87, died Friday, Feb 15, at 1:15 p.m. at her residence on Rt. 6, Cumberland Heights, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. at Tarpley's Chapel, with the Rev. Archie Bridges officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. She was born in Stewart County Jan 2, 1887, the daughter of the late George and Martha Wilson. Her husband, Allen M. Atkins, preceded her in death in 1967. Survivors are a son, Kelly Atkins of Memphis; five daughters, Mrs. Garnett Richardson of Clarksville; Mrs. Woodrow Ross of Bumpus Mills, Mrs. R. A. Wright of Houston, Texas; Mrs. John Murray of San Antonio, Texas and Mrs. C. A. Bueche of Denver, Colo.; four sisters, Mrs. Flossie Cherry; Mrs. Ella Legate; Miss Lettye Wilson and Miss Sophie Wilson, all of Indian Mound; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Forest Street Methodist Church. The pallbearers will be sons-in-law and nephews.

(Note: Maggie's mother was Martha Jane Atkins Wilson. Maggie was a gg granddaughter of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.)
