A man named Archibald Clark, a potato digger was found dead, yesterday in a tent in which he lived near White's Bridge. he had apparently, died "in his sleep". The body, which, was found by Mr James Wright, was removed by the police to the Kaiapoi. morgue for the inquest. Deceased, had not been seen since Wednesday. ,He was a native of Scotland, and about 65 years of age, Some time ago he applied for an old ago pension, but on being told that he would have to prove his age, remarked that it did not matter, and did not persevere with has application.
