DOYLE, ANGELA W., age 86 of Birmingham and recently of Springville, died a peaceful and holy death on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Lawrence “Larry” A. Doyle; mother, Josephine “Bumma” Witherington; father, Harry Witherington; sister, Jude Burgess; and brother, Henry “Buck” Witherington. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen “Mamie” Jones (Billy), Ilene “Lollie” Landrum (Jimmy), Susie “Toot” Hiatt (Joe), Caroline “RaRa” Bearden (and caretaker Renee Meridith) and Alicia Wilkerson; son, Larry “B-ball” Doyle, Jr. (Marguerite); 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Angela was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and served with the Lady Sodality. She was an amazing and loving mother to her 6 children. Her family will celebrate her life on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 11-12 at Our Lady of Lourdes with her funeral mass beginning at 12. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UAB Palliative Care Unit.
