Stephen “Steve” Aaron was born in Laurel, Mississippi on January 7th, 1952 to Walter Coyt Aaron and Eva Blanche McCord Aaron. After spending his formative years in Mississippi, Steve moved to Houston, TX in 1968 and attended C.E. King High School . It was in high school that Steve met his future wife, Carol Johnson, whom he married in 1971 and later welcomed a daughter and two sons.

A member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 54, Steve was an accomplished welder, staying in the trade until his retirement in 2013. Though employment in the union sometime required extended stints away from home, Steve cherished returning to his family where his off-time was spent playing with his children, watching Houston Astros baseball games and fishing wherever and whenever the opportunity presented itself. Steve adored his family and constantly boasted on them and their accomplishments to anyone that would listen, no matter the venue or the audience.

Always surrounding himself with friends and family, Steve touched the hearts of all those that he met and made new acquaintances daily. His humor, kindness, generosity and an ever-present smile were hallmarks of his attitude toward others and can be seen by the multitude of friends that he created and maintained throughout his life.

Steve will be sorely missed by all and his absence will be felt daily. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Jennifer Aaron-Faridi of Cypress, TX and her husband, Kashif; son, Stephen C. Aaron of Georgetown, TX and his wife, Jennifer; son, Daniel Aaron of Houston, TX and his wife, Ana; brothers, Stanley McClain of Hattiesburg, MS and Tommy Wilson of Spring Hill, FL; sister, Janett Pack of Houston, TX and half-sister, Bridgette Wilson Clark of Prospect, LA. Steve also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

The family will receive friends to celebrate his life, Sunday, February 18, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Niday – Fairmont Funeral Home in Pasadena.  A service of remembrance will also be held at the funeral home, Monday, February 19, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
