Mrs. Betty Jean (Grant) Lawson age 90, of the Pine Orchard community passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home. She was a born again, Bible believing child of God. A member of Clymersville Baptist Church in Rockwood. She was a homemaker with a servant’s heart. She loved to travel and over the years had visited 48 of the states.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lizzie Grant; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Leaving behind, 1sister and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by her husband of 70 ½ years, W.E. (Gene) Lawson; sons, Buster (Shirley), Benny (Phyllis) and daughter, Patti Lawson; 5 grandchildren, Lora (Todd) Bagwell, Grant (Jacque) Lawson, Joy (Boogie) Stewart, Craig (Leanna) Lawson and Gina (Matt) Sirmans; 2 step grandchildren, Emily Smith and James Ladd; 11 great grandchildren, Jacob Lawson, Steven Bagwell, Madison Lawson, Luke Bagwell, Mary Stewart, Lawson Stewart, Cheyenne Sirmans, Blaine Lawson, Caroline Sirmans, Teyla Lawson and Dallas Lawson.
The family will receive friends; Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Pine Orchard Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Charles Kelly and Rev. Anthony Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Orchard Cemetery.
