Majella Elva (Jackson) Monroe Williams, was born August 30, 1904 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Walter Elwood and Louesta (Mason) Jackson. At age 78, she departed this life on January 20, 1973 in Wellsville, Ohio.
Elva had three children Eileen Ramona Jackson, Robert Harry Monroe, and Kevin Harry Monroe.
She was united in marriage in 1930 to William Blandon Williams. He became father to her children and they took his last name.
Elva was a retired cook and had worked at one time at the East Liverpool County Club.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Williams, parents, Walter and Louesta Jackson; daughter, Eileen Pettigrew; and former husband, Harry Monroe.
Elva was survived by her sons, Robert Williams, Kevin Williams; sisters, Margaret Colley, Eleanor Curtis; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
