A native of Asheville, Kenneth Walden McGee was born March 15, 1951 and passed away March 6, 2018 at the Laurels of Summit Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, King A. McGee, Sr. and Martha Braboy McGee; and longtime girlfriend, D' Lease Frazier.

Kenneth was a graduate of Asheville High School, Class of 1970, along with his sister Mary. Kenneth's love for art and creativity led him to pursue an education in graphics and design. He received a degree in Commercial Art from Central Piedmont College, Charlotte, NC. He was the Print and Sign Graphic Artist for the Coca Cola Company in Ashville, NC. for several years. Kenneth's dedication to his work was exemplary of the man he was in life. Kenneth was a kind and loving person to his family and friends.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are two brothers, King A. McGee, Jr. of New York City and Raymond S. McGee, Sr. (Katie) of Mauldin, SC; sister, Mary McGee Downes (Oliver) of Canton, NC.; nephews, King A. McGee III, Raymond S. McGee II, Michael R. L. McGee and Oliver Downes, Jr. (Evelyn); nieces, Adriane McGee Burgess (Craig), Anique M. Downes, Cherie Downes Pagan and Stephani Miller (David); grandnephews, Zachary and Zander Burgess and Keith Jones; grandnieces, Jalisa and Gabriella Pagan; other relatives and friends.
