FRED J. RAPPEL
Fred J. Rappel. 77, of 1329 S. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon in the Intensive Care Unit of Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Pfeffer Funeral Home and 1 p.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Revs. Theodore J. Hendricks and John Kohnke, O. Praem, will officiate and entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rappel was born July 8, 1900, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Martin and Mary Seidl Rappel. He married Mary Logan July 18, 1923, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove, and moved to Manitowoc in 1925, residing here since. Mr. Rappel retired 10 years ago. He was a member of American Association of Retired Persons Inc., Senior Citizens, 25 year member and officer of Lake Port Credit Union and a member of Columbus Council 710.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Dorris
Rappel of Manitowoc and Thomas and Bette Rappel of Newton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eunice and John Pekarske and Dorothy and Frank Sepnoieski of Mamintowoc; two brothers. William of St. Nazianz and Oscar of Sheboygan, 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Friday afternoon, where a prayer service will be at 8 o'clock by members of Knights of Columbus, parish, relatives and friends.
