Born Sept. 23, 1919, in Seagrove, N.C., she was the oldest living member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Over the years, she was actively involved in the church committees. She was former owner of McNeill Florist. She retired from the Randolph County School System working in the cafeteria. After retirement, she enjoyed her time as a docent with the North Carolina Pottery Museum in Seagrove.
Mrs. McNeill was proceeded in death by her husband, Forrest; her daughter, Linda McNeill Asbill; her son-in-law, Harold Asbill; and grandson-in-law, Brian McDowell.
She is survived by her son, Arlie Maxton McNeill (Sheila), Brunswick, Ga., her grandchildren, Melissa Skoglund (Jamie), Stacy McDowell (Brian) and Leslie Manoukian (Richard); great-grandchildren, Ryan McNeill (Blaire), Norah Manoukian, Hillary Bunting (Aaron) and Emily Skoglund; and great-great-grandchildren, Rayne McNeill and Kylie Manoukian.
A celebration of life for Mrs. McNeill was held at 2 p.m Sunday, March 11, at Union Grove Baptist Church, in Seagrove, N.C.
