ORAN — Orville Otto Hanselman, 63 years old, an Oran area farmer, died Wednesday in a Cape Girardeau hospital where he had been a patient two weeks.
Born at Trenton, Illinois, Oct. 20, 1903, to Mr and Mrs. Ernst Hanselman, he married Clara Ann Walter of Oran on Feb. 6, 1930.
A member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, and the Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810, he served as commissioner of the Oran Special Road District and chairman of the Scott County Weed Control Board.
He Is survived by his wife and two sons, Vernon J. Hanselman and Gene P. Hanselman of Oran; a sister, Mrs. Robert Hutton of Chaffee, and three grandchildren.
The body is at the Earl J. Smith Funeral Home in Oran where tonight members of the parish will recite the Rosary at 7:30 and the Elks Lodge will hold memorial services at 8.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday morning at 9 at the Guardian Angel Church with the Rev. Gervase lngoldsby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
