Roy H. Vowells, 59, of 3830 East Ninth terrace at 10 o'clock saturday at the holy trinity catholic church; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight at the chapel. Mr. Vowells was born in Owensboro, Ky., and lived here 33 years. He operated a barber shop at 5232 Truman road. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Vowells of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Betty L. Stanback, 3615 Sunrise drive; Mrs. Mary J. Canterbury, 11301 Greenbrier; Mrs. Patrice Pace, 2919 East Twelfth; Mrs. Donna Adams, 5627 East twenty-ninth terrace, and sandra Vowells of the home; three sons Richard L. Vowells, 3615 Sunrise, and Billy Vowells and Roy H. Vowells Jr., of the home; three brothers, Arthur Vowells, John Vowells, and Troy Vowells, all of Owensboro; three sisters, Mrs. Comma Phillips, Los Angeles; Mrs. Myrtle Phillips, Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Ella Sherman, 2801 East Twelfth, and eight grandchildren.
