ARTHUR C. PISCITELLI Surrounded by his daughters, loving father, Arthur C. Piscitelli passed away on April 5, 2007 at age 89, in his Brentwood, CA home. Arthur was born June 18, 1917 in Ellwood City, PA to Lugi and Mary Grace Piscitelli, he was the youngest of 14 children. In 1939 he married his sweetheart of 58 years, Clara Tignanelli, together they raised a large and loving family. Arthur served his country with honor during World War II in Germany where he received the Purple Heart. After the war, he worked at various jobs until he took a position with the Federal Post Office in Pittsburg, PA. In 1962, he had the opportunity to transfer to Walnut Creek, CA. where he worked until his retirement in 1978, during which he spent his time doing what he loved most, being with his family, fishing, golfing and gardening. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Headrick of Brentwood, Jamie Fisher of Utah, Marty Briseno and Mary Brandt also of Brentwood, together with sons-in-law, Barry Fisher, Joe Briseno and Jim Brandt; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchilden. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Maria, son, Arthur James, daughter Elaine Claire Mann, and great granddaughter Dora Michelle Owens. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Memory Gardens in Livermore, CA at 11 a.m. Donations can be made in his name to St. Vincent de Paul dining room in Alameda CA or Hospice of Contra Costa.
