Rodolfo "Roy" Samarripas, 62 of Lubbock passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

He was born August 22, 1955 to Vidal and Guadalupe (De Los Santos) Samarripas in East Bernard, Texas.

Roy married Louisa Flores April 17, 1976. He was a member of the Full Gospel New Life Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He had a lifelong love of cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lupe Martinez (Joe), Melinda Salinas (Joe), Rodolfo "Ben" Samarripas (Marcie) and Adrian Samarripas (Kayla McNeese); brother, Vidal Samarripas, II; sisters, Lupe Hinojos, Eva Lopez, Sofia Gonzalez and Adela Garcia; 14 grandchildren, Jose Samarripas, Zariah Martinez, Mia Martinez, Elizabeth Mendez, Antonio Mendez, Noah Samarripas, Olivia Samarripas, Makayla Martinez, Cross Samarripas, Gabriel Mendez, Michael Martinez, Jonah Salinas, Joe and Jovian Salinas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Maria Samarripas, Paul Zamarripa, and Isabel Chavez.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 with family receiving friends from 6:00 â€" 8:00 p.m. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Venue on Broadway with interment to follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
