On the night of 11-12 October 1941, a Heinkel HE 111 (type H-6) aircraft, No. 4175, F8+ER, from Luftwaffe 7/111KG 40, crashed into the Blackstairs Mountains, near Kiltealy, County Wexford.
It was a twin engined, medium range bomber, which had a crew of four. All of the crew died in the incident.

Feldwebel Wilhelm Böhmer
Gefreiter Ehrfreid Kolwe
Obergefreiter Hans Szuflita
The Irish State Death Certificates recorded their deaths as occurring on 12 October 1941, and that each man, a member of the German Air Force, had died of multiple injuries received when the plane in which they were flying crashed into the mountainside, and burst into flames.
Their deaths were registered on 19 December 1941, on foot of a Certificate received from A.J. Cantwell, Coroner for North Wexford.
Their bodies were buried locally at the time, but were later exhumed and buried in Glencree German War Cemetery in 1959-61.
His grave does not have a personal marker.
