Mr. DeChirico had lived in Syracuse for 70 years and was a landscaper for 60 years. He had been the landscaper for St. Joseph's Hospital for 20 years. He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church and was a former member of the Foresters of America.
He is survived by two sons, Nicholas C. DeCherico and Joseph A. DeChirico, two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Longbardo and Mrs. John Davis; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and at 8:45 a.m. in St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St.
