Services for John Wesley Beeghley, 84, rural Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Willow Springs Old German Baptist Meeting House. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Douglas County.

Mr. Beeghley died Wednesday, May 10, 2006.

He was born July 19, 1921, in Douglas County, the son of Daniel and Christina Flory Beeghley. He was a lifelong resident of the community south of Pleasant Grove.

Mr. Beeghley was a lifelong farmer and stockman. He was ordained to the Eldership of the Old German Baptist Church on Nov. 25, 1972.

He married Ethel Grace Kinzie on Oct. 17, 1943, in Sawyer. She died July 25, 1996. He married Anna Mae Edgecomb Hirt on April 21, 2000. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Charles; a daughter, Marian Fife, Rossville, Ind.; a stepson, Weldon Hirt; two stepdaughters, Darla Gascho, and Dianne Shilling; a brother, Lloyd, Baldwin; seven grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the meeting house.
