Francis L. Ryder Sr. age 80 of Carneys Point died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Christiana Hospital.
Born in Deepwater, son of the late John and Reba Ryder, he had been a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Ryder had been employed at Willis Hardware in Penns Grove, Kenneth Lilly Fasteners in Newark, DE and most recently at Shimp's Hardware in Pennsville.
He had been a member of Corpus Christi RC Church, Carneys Point and the Penns Grove Jaycees.
Mr. Ryder enjoyed doing things with and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances (nee Marandola) in 2003.
Surviving are his children, Mary Ann Ryder of Carneys Point, Francis L. Ryder, Jr. of Pennsville, John Ryder of Furlong, PA, a sister, Doris Shepherd of Sterling, VA, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday in Corpus Christi RC Church, 369 Georgetown Rd., Carneys Point.
Friends are invited to call Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM in the Ashcraft Funeral Home, 47 State St., Penns Grove.
Interment will be in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
