Alice Dorsey Maddox, 76, of Holland, died Jan. 31, 2000, at her home.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Md., she graduated with her nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

She moved to Holland in 1980 from Huntington Woods. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hope Academy of Senior Professionals, and the American Nurses Association.

Surviving are her husband, V. Harold; children, Victoria and Thoralf Hoelzer-Maddox of East Lansing, Diane and William Smith of Cookeville, Tenn., and Don Maddox of Dearborn; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Thomas Nelson officiating. No visitation is scheduled.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland.

Arrangements are by the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Home
