Dale Leroy Chally, 84 passed away April 12, 2018.
Visitation to begin at 10.a.m. on April 17 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Marion. Service will commence at noon. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello. The Rev. Jody Skogen will officiate and the Monticello Drill Team and Iowa Army Honors detail will accord military honors.
Dale served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 during the Korean conflict. He started raising his family in Plano, Il later moving to Monticello, IA.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Joan Chally, children, Rod Chally (Jan Jermson), and Robin (Earl) Basham of Cedar Rapids, Tammie (Wendell) Singsaas of Fontana, CA, Todd (Teresa) Chally of Anamosa, Lori (Bill) Johnston and Karen Chally of Cedar Rapids, and Scott (Patricia) Chally of Monticello. his grandchildren and great grand-children. sister, Darlene Brugh and June Thompson, his brother, Leonard Jr. (Leora) Chally and a brother-in-law Louis (Terri) Stemmet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Bertha(Lundy) Chally and sisters, Vivian Walker and Barbara Johnson.
