Benny Lane Bowen, age 69 of Marion, North Carolina passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Thomas E. Creek VA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He was born in Burke County, North Carolina October 19, 1948 to the late William Carson Bowen and Gladys Mashburn Bowen. Benny lived most of his life in McDowell County and Caldwell County, North Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his fourth wife, Trudy Shields Bowen and one brother Bobby Andrew Bowen, Sr. he was owner and operator of Bowen Tree Service. He served in the United States Navy and
was a Vietnam Veteran. He loved his dog Digger. Benny woke up with the Lord and went to bed with the Lord.

Left behind to cherish his memories are three children, Tracey Bowen Cook, Benny Lane Bowen,ll and Jason Alan Bowen and his wife Sarah; one brother Scotty Bowen and wife Debbie, two sisters, Nancy Parker and husband Robert, and Debbie Perkins. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Aurelia and Ryder Bowen.
