Marilyn L. Johnson, age 93, of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Patriot Place of Berlin.
She was born on November 22, 1924, in North Dakota, the oldest of 15 children to Melvin and Theoline Hegna along with her twin sister, Maysel Tweet. Nine brothers and four sisters followed, all brought up on the family farm in Clarkfield, MN.
Marilyn married Warren Johnson on December 15, 1943. They eventually made their home in Berlin, WI.
Marilyn took pride in working at Sand Knit/Ripon Athletic 40 plus years, retiring for the third and final time at the young age of 81. She had many friends there and loved her employer.
Marilyn loved to cook, bake and iron, you never left her house hungry. She also loved to walk, even after working all day. She totally amazed us and instilled in us all a good work ethic. She also loved to watch football and baseball. Especially the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers.
Marilyn was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Berlin. Mary Lou along with her kids, James and Jena always made sure she got to church until her health failed.
Marilyn is survived by six daughters, three sons, and son-in-law Fred Wenzel. Dale Johnson, Bev (Pat) Ruedinger, Wendy (Dan) Tindall, Barb (Dennis) Nighbor, Vicki (Ray) Clark, Mary Lou (Jim) Yerk, Dawn (Ron) Inda, David (Laurie) Johnson, and Dan (Mia) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren; daughter, Judy; son, Chuck; grandsons, Chad Tindall, Ritchie Clark, Ryan Clark; two sisters, and five brothers.
The brothers and sisters would like to give a special thank you to our sister, Mary Lou for all the extra care you gave mom. You are truly the best!
The family would also like to thank Patriot Place for the special care they gave our mom, and also Heartland Hospice Hope for their wonderful extended care.

Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Marilyn on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin, and also on Friday May 4, 2018 from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church.
