Mary D. Bracken, 87, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Monday, April 30, 2018. She was the wife of the late William P. Bracken.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late M. Joseph and Mary (Walsh) Kelly.
Mary lived most of her life in Cumberland. She was a Revenue Officer for the State of RI, retiring in 2006.
She is survived by her children, Ann McCaffrey and her husband, Sean, and William Bracken and his wife, Jeanne. She also leaves her brother, Joseph Kelly, and five grandchildren, Chelsea, Delaney, and Will Bracken, Michael and Katherine McCaffrey. She was the sister of the late Margaret Dixon.
Mary’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Brookdale, Cumberland who took loving care of their mother. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9AM from the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Saint Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4-7PM in the O’Neill Funeral Home.
