Mrs. Linnie Gillaspy passed away at her home, 812 East Holliday Street, Osage City,Kansas, Thursday March 27, 1930, having suffered a stroke several weeks ago from which she never fully recovered.Miss Linnie Alberta DeVall was born in Susquehanna, Penn., June 6, 1867, being 62 years, 9 months and 21 days old, at the time of death.

Miss DeVall was married to James T. Gillaspy May 2, 1885, at Lyndon, Kansas. To this union was born eleven children, four sons and seven daughters, all living: Mrs. Martha Weigman of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Gertrude Henry, Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Bessie Hotchkiss of Burlingame, Miss Freda Gillaspy of Osawatomie, Kansas, John Gillaspy, Topeka, Kansas, Seward, James, Maniford, Miss Josephine and Miss Dorothy Gillaspy, all of Osage City, Kansas.

Her husband preceded her in death eight years ago, March 25, 1922. Besides Mrs. Gillaspy's eleven children, she leaves four sisters and two brothers and nine grandchildren to mourn her death. The Gillaspy family lived at different places near Osage City from the time they were married until the year 1918, when they moved to Osage City.
Mrs. Gillaspy was a member of the Methodist church in this city, and lived a christian life. She was a good neighbor and a kind, devoted, loving mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church. Rev. A. H. Tebben, officiating. Burial was made in the Burlingame Cemetery.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were, Mr. and Mrs. George Henry of Amarillo, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hotchkiss of Burlingame, Kansas, Mrs. and Mrs. John Gillaspy of Topeka, Mrs. Bessie Cheek of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Edna Blansett of Great Bend, Kansas and Henry DeVall, of Great Bend, Kansas, the three later being two sisters and a brother of the deceased.
