Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Fondren Logan, 72, wife of George A. Logan were conducted at the residence near Marion, Friday morning with burial in the Marion Cemetery, the Rev. Harry E. Dickinson, pastor of Siloam Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Logan died at her home at eight o'clock Wednesday night following an illness of only one day. A native of Perry County, Mrs. Logan was born near Marion, September 8, 1870, the daughter of the late John and Nancy McAllister Fondren. Just a month ago, she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary, with all of her children present. Surviving are her husband George A. Logan, three sons, Graham A. Logan, Sr. of Selma, Charles E. and Sam E. Logan of Marion; five brothers, Arthur Fondren of Marion, R. D. Fondren of Birmingham, Buck and Charles E. of Coaling, Ala, LaFayette of Sprott. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Charles E. Logan of Dayton, Ala, Mrs. W.H. LaGrone of Selma, Mrs. Effie Warren of Birmingham, Mrs. Emmett Rinehart and Mrs. Helen Tucker of Marion and Mrs. A. C. LaGrone of Selma, four grandchildren, Pvt. Graham A. Logan of Army forces at Fort Myers, Fla., J. C. Robertson ( Dorothy Logan) of Savannah, Georgia, Barbara L. Logan of Selma and Mildred Anita Logan of Marion. and two great grandchildren Sammie and Jimmie Robertson, born the day she died. She lived all her life in Perry County.
