She was my grandmother. She immigrated to the United States in July 1909 at the age of 16. She was born in Chlebowice Swirskie, Przemsylany region (former Bibrka region,)Ukraine to parents Jan (Ivan) Domanski and Kateryna Nadya Zukowski.

Her first marriage was to a man named Meftody Maksymoff, who died in an accident about 1916. She then changed her name to Markson. She married my grandfather about 1930 and became Anastasia Kolosowsky.

She lived most of her later life in Manhattan. She had three children, Michael, Katherine and Jan.

Known siblings who also immigrated to the United States were Mykolay (Nicholas), Michael and Marja (Mary).
